The other advantage to these fillings is that they require less drilling than the fillings you might have received years ago. Less drilling means a shorter appointment and less discomfort for your child.
Crowns for Children
When children have large cavities, they often get the best results if a crown is placed over the tooth after it is filled. This is especially true of molars.
We offer a choice of either a stainless steel crown or a white crown. There are pros and cons to each of these crowns, which we will discuss with the parents of our patient before making a final recommendation.
